Beltane is a wondrous and fertile time of year, and there are many herbs to celebrate this time with!

Hawthorn berries, or hawthorn itself if you have the plant is a fabulous magical herb to use for love and passion, both important virtues of fertility!

Blessed thistle is a herb of purification, as well as protection from negative influences. In this way this herb is actually pretty important for all the sabbats!

Rue is another herb of love, especially in ancient spells! It is also used for protection, needed when celebrating a festival.

Nettle is associated with both protection and healing, as well as shaking off curses. In a fertility festival it is great to start anew, growing again.
