Witchcraft 101: Crystals For Ostara

Each of the pagan festivals or sabbats have specific crystals and other symbols associated with them. Today it is Ostara in the Southern Hemisphere so we thought it was time to take a look at the crystals of this spring festival!

Ocean jasper is beautiful variety of jasper featuring spheres or orbicles within its patterning. Here we have an ocean jasper bowl for Ostara.

Natural agate is another Ostara crystal, and it doesn’t get much better than a natural agate egg for this festival of new beginnings!

Clear quartz is another popular crystal of this time, and a cluster or tumbled stones make a great addition to an Ostara altar.

Lapis lazuli is a colourful addition to the festival of spring, reminding us of cool forest brooks and blue oceans. Tumbled stones are the most affordable way to procure this precious stone.

Amazonite in all its varying forms celebrate colour and the hint of coolness in this festival!

Garnet is a stone of vitality, and speaks of the way that we are all “waking up” after the long winter.

Azurite is another highly colourful stone, with a richness symbolic of the burgeoning season.

Rose quartz is a stone of love and community, and now we are all out of the winter hibernation, there is greater feelings of joy and sharing with the community around!

Citrine is a staple of the solar festivals, as an important stone of the sun. This stone brings brightness, joy and life to all around it.
