Fakebusters: Pink... Chewing Gum?
This is another reverse fakebusters today folks, showing all the different names put on the one artificial stone.
Here this odd pink aggregate stone is called bertrandite, which if it was real, would be a rather expensive piece.
This time it was listed on a popular auction site as lubderite.
Now suddenly it is apparently mookaite jasper, according to the listing!
Although this time it has a more orangey tone, this is still the same bizarre aggregate stone, just listed as "astrolite".
Keep an eye out for this kind of tomfoolery, because it is a big hint that the stone is a fake, given that the same seller may not even know which name to tack on it at which time.
