Magical Herbs: Wormwood

Let me introduce you to the world of herb magic, this time I'll be talking about wormwood (Artemisia absinthum).

Wormwood has multiple magical uses, it can be taken as an extract, tea and it's a great herb to use when cleansing and doing divination. It is also one of my go-to herbs to use during the sabbat of Samhain!

Wormwood has been held in high regard for it's pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been used to treat intestinal worms as far back as ancient Egypt, yet the evidence for the specific application is hugely anecdotal.

Wormwood is also an antioxidant concentrated in the essential oils of the plant when it's in its pre-flowering stage.

But nonetheless, more research is needed on this plant's medicinal properties.

We also grow wormwood here in the Three Morrigna headquarters, so you know it's coming from a magical background! Go check them out in our magical herbs section!
